Laser treatment has advanced significantly over the years. And whilst it’s a specialised treatment, it’s also an everyday tool within our practice helping to promote healthy teeth and gums.
We use a revolutionary dental device called MD Waterlase that combines YSGG laser energy and water (a process called Hydrophotonics) to perform many traditional dental procedures with less anaesthetic. Infinitely less invasive, it provides a more precise form of treatment that conserves healthy tooth structure.
It’s also excellent at resolving soft tissue problems as well as treating teeth – especially in children. And for those not lucky enough to have well-shaped, healthy-looking gums, laser gum recontouring is a procedure that can correct gum problems and improve oral health and smiles.
As a simple procedure, no time off is needed to recover. And whilst gums may be sore shortly after the procedure, normal painkillers are enough and the results are worth it.
